JALEBI RECIPE IN ENGLISH

Ingredients:

Plain flour =1 cup
Yellow food color = as required
Yugurt=1 teaspoon
Cooking soda =2 pinches
 Ghee = to fry


For sugar syrup:

Sugar =2cups
Water =1 1/2 cup
cardamom powder =1 pinch

Make one string sugar syrup by adding 
little water to the sugar. Add  cardamom 
powder to the syrup. Syrup should be 
warm when you put fried jalebi in it, not 
too hot, otherwise the jalebi will be 
damaged. Make sure that the syrup’s 
consistency is only 1 string when it cools down.

Method

Mix 1/2 flour ,yugurt and  soda and make 
into a smooth and spongy batter using 
water as required.Put it warm place for6 hours for fermentation.Beat  the batter  with remaining 1/2 cup  flour add more water if required. Mix food color as you like, and mix without any lumps. . Heat up ghee in a flat bottomed fry pan. Take a thick cloth and make a small hole. Stitch 
the corner of the hole. Pour the batter into this cloth and fold the corners closely and press slowly into the hot . Cook till they are light golden color. Remove and drain the oil. Keep this in the warm sugar syrup and soak for few minutes. Remove 
each jalebi slowly .

Serve it  hot.
