Italian Beef Recipe in english
Ingredients
500 g (18 ounces) beef filet or other tender cut, cut into 1/2" cubes
potato starch=2 tablespoons
whole black pepper=2 teaspoons
oyster sauce =2 teaspoons
soy sauce=2 teaspoons
olive oil=1 teaspoon
garlic=4 cloves , thinly slicd
green capsicum=1 , cut into 1/2" squares
onion=1 , cut into 1/2" squares
salt=as you desired
method
Put the peppercorns in a mortar and use a pestle to crush the pepper into large pieces. You don't want any whole peppercorns, but it should be very coarse.
Put the beef into a bowl and add the black pepper in with it along with the oyster sauce, potato starch, soy sauce and olive oil. Mix and let this marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Heat the oil, and add the beef. Fry one side until browned, and then use a hard spatula to stir-fry until the outside of the beef is cooked and browned. Add the garlic, capsicum , and onions, and continue stir-frying. Stir-fry until the onions are cooked.
